Rabbi Zalman Shneur
Rabbi Zalman Shneur, Executive Director and Founder of the Menachem Education Foundation, received his M.A. in Jewish Studies from the Central Lubavitch Yeshiva. He was chosen to head the International Chabad Tsunami Relief effort in Thailand in 2005. Rabbi Shneur interned as Rabbi in five communities in Eastern Europe before settling in Brooklyn in 2006. In addition to his duties at the Foundation, he regularly contributes to Talmudic journals and teaches Psalms at a local high school for girls.
Rabbi Yossi Rosenblum
Rabbi Yossi Rosenblum was ordained from the United Lubavitch Yeshiva in 1987. Following his ordination, he became one of the first rabbinic students to enter the Soviet Union. During his travels, he met with Jewish community members in Moscow, Leningrad, Odessa and Tiblissi. Rabbi Rosenblum followed that trip with a visit to Israel where he met with former Soviet refuseniks. Upon returning to New York, Rabbi Rosenblum submitted a full report of his activities to the Lubavitcher Rebbe.
Rabbi Rosenblum has over 20 years experience in the field of Jewish education. As a student emissary of the Chabad movement (shaliach), he helped to establish Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch in Johannesburg, South Africa. He also served as head counselor of Camp Gan Israel, in Parksville, NY.
In 1992, Rabbi Rosenblum, joined the staff at Yeshiva Achie Timmim in Pittsburgh, PA. Two years later, he became Principal of the Boys Division. While serving as principal, the Yeshiva was recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence by the U.S. Department of Education.
Rabbi Rosenblum is an innovative educator and administrator. In 1994, he founded the International Sefer HaMitzvos Competition and authored the Sefer HaMitsvos booklets used by 40 schools as part of their curriculum. He also worked with leading educators and scholars on the ground-breaking Gemara
Berura teaching methodology. As part of this effort, Rabbi Rosenblum was responsible for developing the workbook on hascholas gemora. This unique workbook helped teachers fulfill the words of King Solomon to "teach a child according his way" using advanced techniques such as Differentiated Instruction (DI) and Understanding by Design (UBD). Rabbi Rosenblum has lectured on these techniques and the Gemara Berura all over the country.
Rabbi Rosenblum is also a popular lecturer who has taught adult education classes on parenting, Jewish mysticism, Talmud, and other topics. He is married to the former Chana Laine from Brooklyn and is the proud father of 11 (KI"h) children.
Rabbi Mendy Greenbaum
Rabbi Mendy Greenbaum received his Rabbinic ordination from Rav Hillel Pevzner O"BM, President of The Vaad Rabbonei Lubavitch of France. Rabbi Greenbaum completed two years of Shlichus in Yeshiva Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch in Brunoy, France. While in France, he lectured on various topics in Halacha. Before moving to Los Angeles, Rabbi Greenbaum taught in Mesivta Oholei Torah, in Crown Heights for three years.
In August 2000, Rabbi Mendy Greenbaum accepted the position of Principal in the Cheder Menachem Boys School in Los Angeles, California. Since Rabbi Greenbaum became principal, Cheder Menachem has grown from 170 students to over 300 students, becoming the largest Lubavitch Boys’ School in the USA outside of Crown Heights. Cheder Menachem is proud to be accredited by WASC and the BJE of LA.
In the past four years, two of Cheder Menachem’s teachers have received the prestigious Milken Award for excellence in teaching. Cheder Menachem is known to be at the forefront of educational innovation, utilizing the latest in methodologies such as Gemara Brura, D.I. and Data Driven Instruction. Students of Cheder Menachem have received acclaimed recognition for their academic success in Judaic Studies.
Aside from his position in Cheder Menachem, Rabbi Mendy Greenbaum regularly teaches adult education classes all over Los Angeles, and lectures on Professional Development in schools. He is an Educational Consultant for the new Yahadus Curriculum, as well as other educational publications such as Malka Touger's new book, "A Door That's Never Closed" and a new Siddur soon to be published by Tzivos Hashem. Rabbi Greenabum is often guest lecturer at Mesivta YOEC as well as Beis Midrash YOEC and Beis Chana Girls High school. Addionally, Rabbi Greenbaum sits on the Yeshiva Principals Council of Los Angeles.
In 2010, The Menachem Education Foundation hired Rabbi Mendy Greenbaum to lead a division of the Principal Leadership Program, in partner with the NYC Leadership Academy.
Rabbi Greenbaum is married to Zelda (Gorowitz) and is blessed with seven children Ka"h
Rabbi Mendy Yusewitz
Mendy Yusewitz was born in 1984, in Brooklyn, NY. He was raised in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, and attended Oholei Torah Educational Institute, from 1st through 8th grades. He continued his High School studies in Jerusalem, at Toras Emes, followed by 3 years of post-high school Talmudical studies there as well.
He returned to the States to study at Oholei Torah Rabbinical Seminary for one year and then embarked on a year and a half's educator's journey in Petropolis, Brazil. He received his rabbinical ordination in Brazil while teaching Chassidut, Talmud and mentoring a group of Yeshiva students there.
He returned to Jerusalem to continue his Rabbinical studies in Jerusalem, under the tutelage of Rabbi Zalman Nechemia Goldberg and Rabbi Deitsch. While studying, he returned to Toras Emes, where he taught and mentored in the high school of his childhood.
Rabbi Yusewitz himself is a graduate of Menachem Education Foundation's Teacher Training Program in the year 2008. He began teaching part time in 4th and 6th grade in local insttutions. He later assumed a full time teaching role in the 6th grade.
Rabbi Yusewitz creates the Judaic curriculum for the Shluchim Office Online School. He is the founder of the TFT program for teaching (a system for teaching text visually). The program has been implemented in several schools in the tri-State area.
In beginning of Fall 2010, Mendy was hired to lead the Teacher Training Program at Menachem Education Foundation.
Rabbi Yusewitz is married To Faigy Zaltzman-Yusewitz, and they live in Brooklyn, New York with their son Moishe'le.
Rabbi Levi Eisenberg
Levi Eisenberg was born in Philadelphia, PA and grew up in Brooklyn, NY where he attended United Lubavitcher Yeshivah. He studied for 2 years in England and 1 year in France as a teenager and then returned to Brooklyn, NY to complete his Rabbinic degree. He graduated with a First Rabbinic degree from Central Yeshivah Tomchei Temimim in 2009.
Rabbi Eisenberg is a graduate of the Menachem Education Foundation's Teacher Training Program.
He currently teaches 4th grade in Oholei Torah, and lives in Crown Heights, Brooklyn together with his wife and daughter.
