The Menachem Education Foundation (MEF) was established in 2008 to create viable and sustainable Jewish Orthodox and ultra-Orthodox schools. A key element of a viable school is its quality of education. Transformational and instructional leadership are necessary to improve the quality of education provided in a school.
MEF models educational reform programs that are proven to work in other communities and schools and adapts the programs for use in Jewish schools. The programs are developed and implemented at the lowest cost possible, maximizing the value of every dollar donated to the Foundation. MEF is committed to improving the education in low-income communities, which traditionally struggle to provide quality education for their children. Our programs help give thousands of these kids the opportunity to thrive and grow in a positive academic environment.
Since its inception in 2008, MEF has grown to focus on three targeted areas: teachers, school leaders, and educational infrastructure. It impacts more than 25 Jewish schools worldwide and approximately 15,000 Jewish children.
